The following lists all traits that appear in the game. It is assumed that you have already created your trait (s), and that you are at least somewhat familiar with Python scripting for The Sims 4. This tutorial will show how you can automatically assign your traits to sims when they spawn into the world. All traits affect a Sim's behavior and emotions, for example, a creative Sim may randomly become inspired, while a Sim that loves outdoors will sink into a low mood if they stay inside too long. This is an updated version of a tutorial originally written on Sims 4 Studio. You can choose up to 3 lot traits or have none at all, the choice is entirely up to you. When you’re in build mode you click on the small house icon in the top left corner. Toddlers and Infants both have 1 personality trait, taken from separate sets of toddler-specific and infant-specific traits. Lot traits are added to your homes in build mode which you can enter through the button in the top right corner or by pressing F2 in game. Teens may have up to 2 traits, and children only have 1 trait.
